principal de 180 metros de luz.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto del nuevo puente se ha basado en dos ideas fundamentales: en primer lugar hacer un puente actual, y en segundo lugar hacer un puente que armonizara con el actual. Por ello se ha proyectado un puente atirantado con el mismo contorno del colgante, y para ello las torres del nuevo puente atirantado se han hecho de la misma altura que las del colgado.<\/p>\n<p>La visi\u00f3n conjunta de los dos puentes es la superposici\u00f3n de los dos sistemas de cables: el cable parab\u00f3lico con sus p\u00e9ndolas, del puente colgante, y los tirantes del puente atirantado, visi\u00f3n an\u00e1loga a la del puente de Brooklyn en Nueva York, donde se utilizaron conjuntamente los dos sistemas de cables, cable parab\u00f3lico y p\u00e9ndolas, m\u00e1s tirantes.<\/p>\n<p>El sistema de atirantamiento adoptado ha obligado a utilizar un tablero m\u00e1s r\u00edgido que el de un atirantado normal; tiene dos cajones en los bordes unidos con diafragmas, con un canto que var\u00eda desde 4 metros en apoyos a 2,50 en la mayor parte del vano principal.<\/p>\n<p>Las torres est\u00e1n formadas por dos pilas verticales unidas por una riostra de gran canto bajo el tablero, que sirve para dar rigidez transversal al conjunto frente a las fuerzas horizontales debidas al sismo.<\/p>\n<p>El ancho del puente es de 33,50 metros, debido a cuatro carriles de circulaci\u00f3n, dos posibles v\u00edas de ferrocarril urbano y aceras de peatones. Los tirantes se han anclado en el tablero cada 10 metros y esto nos ha llevado a desdoblarlos en dos muy pr\u00f3ximos con un giro relativo entre ellos que les da una visi\u00f3n cambiante pero siempre unitaria.<\/p>\n<p>Los vanos laterales y el arranque del vano principal se ha construido sobre cimbra. Una vez descimbrados estos vanos y apoyados en pilas provisionales se ha construido el vano principal por voladizos sucesivos atirantados, hasta cerrar en
