The Mitjavila bridge is located over the Valira river in Andorra la Vella. It is a mixed bridge composed of two branches: one straight and curved, and the other curved. <\/p>\n

Given the geometry of the branches and the condition of minimum depth, forced by the need not to reduce the hydraulic capacity of the river, it was decided to hang the deck from two metallic spheres located at the vertices of a tetrahedron formed by tubes.<\/p>\n

The deck is composed of two branches, one curved and the other straight and skewed, located on an inclined plane.<\/p>\n

Due to the plan geometry of the branches and the indispensable condition of having a minimum depth, so as not to reduce the hydraulic capacity of the river, a cable-stayed structure with a composite deck (steel-concrete) was proposed.<\/p>\n

The structure is suspended from two points located at the branch axes. The tie rods are steel bars of quality 85\/105 of 36 mm and 50 mm in diameter.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
