The project consists, broadly speaking, of gaining more space for the city. This is achieved by reducing the occupation of the railroad by building walls to cut the embankment slopes or to fill in the trenches and, in the central section, where the topography is favorable, by covering the tracks with a slab to connect the two banks. <\/p>\n
New underpasses were also created in the section of the railroad near the M-30, where it runs on the embankment, using the technique of pushed caissons, which are driven without interrupting the movement of trains. At other points, where the tracks run close to the level of their surroundings, new generously sized footbridges are provided to allow pedestrians to cross from one side of the tracks to the other. <\/p>\n
In the Assembly station section, the project proposes to continue the roof over the tracks and platforms, leaving an uncovered area for the new vestibule and accesses.<\/p>\n
In contact with Cercan\u00edas de Renfe, the drafters of the Avenida de Entrev\u00edas project have reserved a space of at least 750 square meters for the vestibule, which will be covered and will lead down to the platforms. The vestibule will be accessed from a large station plaza located on the tracks. <\/p>\n
The current platforms will be extended along their entire length to a width of 8 m, to allow the stairways to be disembarked and to provide more space for users.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
