It is a curved bridge, a variant of a stone bridge, which must cross the ravine formed by the river Valira del Nord near the village of Anyos.<\/p>\n
Initially, an arch with a curved plan was planned, but the construction of a sewage treatment plant under the bridge position forced a change in the solution, and a bridge with a central V-shaped pier with three spans of 2\u00d738+19.5 meters, which, considering the double support of the V, becomes four of 19.5+30.6+14.8+30.6, with a width of 10.60 meters.<\/p>\n
A major problem with this bridge was the difficulty of access and, in addition, it had to be erected over the finished sewage treatment plant. For this reason, a mixed structure solution was adopted with Corten steel, with a very narrow caisson, 4 meters wide, and a variable edge of 1.60 to 0.90 meters. <\/p>\n
The pile was built with climbing formwork and temporary suspenders, until the deck was assembled. The metal caisson was assembled in four pieces, one over the V, two pieces that completed the main spans, and the fourth for the side span. <\/p>\n
The slab was made on site, even though it had been designed with prefabricated precast slabs, because no prefabricator could be found who was willing to make them.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
