The Spanish consortium Ineco Ardanuy, with CFC as a specialist structural partner, has been awarded the contract for Latvia North, one of the main sections of the Rail Baltica connection, a project that aims to link the three Baltic republics (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) by means of a high-speed railway line that will later be connected to the rest of Europe through Poland and Finland, extending over 870 km, with an investment of 5,800 million euros.<\/p>\n

The project includes the detailed design and assistance during construction of a 94 km section linking the city of Vangazy, northwest of Riga, with the Estonian border. It includes important and complex infrastructure such as several stations, 13 bridges, 36 road crossings and 3 railway viaducts, including the viaduct over the Gauge River, which will be the largest project of the entire Rail Baltica line with its approximately 1.5 km in a very environmentally sensitive area. <\/p>\n
