Antonio Martínez has worked for Carlos Fernández Casado, SL since 1987 in bridge design and analysis. He has conducted research on the dynamic behavior of bridge piers. He has extensive experience in the design of prestressed concrete bridges and composite steel-concrete bridges. He has participated in more than 50 projects, most of which have been built, including:

2024. Construction engineering for the expansion of the V Centenario Bridge (Seville). Cable-stayed bridge with 2 towers. Main span 265 m.

Fourth bridge over the Panama Canal. Review for the end customer by a committee of cable-stayed bridge experts.

2023. Harbor Bridge Project and Construction (USA). Cable-stayed bridge. Main span 506 m.

2023. Gordie Howe International Bridge Project and Construction (Canada-USA). Cable-stayed bridge. Main span 850 m.

2019. Bridge over the Strait of Tiquina (Bolivia). Cable-stayed bridge. Main span 750 m.

2019 – Tender for the cable-stayed bridge of the main span over the “Bay of All Saints” connecting Salvador de Bahia with the island of Itaparica (Brazil). Cable-suspended bridge. Length 1000 m. Main span 550 m. 2 side spans of 225 m each. Width 36 meters, a height above sea level of 125 m and 2 towers of 276 m each. Located in the deepest part of the bay with water depths of 60 m.

2015. Cable-stayed bridge over the Bay of Cádiz (Spain). Main span 540 m.

2013. Bridge over the Arno River (Italy). Arch bridge. Main span 110 m.

2013. Bridge over the Magdalena River. (Colombia). Cable-stayed bridge. Maximum span 380 m.

Quality and Environmental Performance Policy

Carlos Fernández Casado, S.L, a civil engineering projects company based in Madrid (Spain) specialized in the development and supervision of Structures Projects, assumes the following quality and environmental policy for its Integrated Management System based on the UNE-EN ISO 9001:2015 and UNE-EN ISO 14001:2015 standards for the following activities and centers:

“The design and development of civil engineering projects and the performance of construction management assistance”.

At national level and for the center of activity located in calle Orense nº 10, in Madrid (CP 28020).

CARLOS FERNÁNDEZ CASADO, S.L., assumes as quality and environmental policy, based on the following objectives:

  • To achieve customer satisfaction by delivering the product object of its activity (DESIGN AND TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING PROJECTS) in such a way that it always complies with the defined technical requirements and with the legal and regulatory requirements, controlled throughout all the stages of its elaboration, ensuring the reliability of the studies and calculations that support them, the definition of the materials to be used and the execution methodology, in order to guarantee a subsequent construction and operation free of defects and in accordance with the most advanced technologies and always respecting the environment, causing the least possible environmental impact.
