Located in La Manga del Mar Menor, Murcia, this bascule bridge replaces an old metal swing bridge that hardly solved the growing passage of vehicles and boats coming from the marina located in the Mar Menor, going to the Mar Mayor.

It was given a suitable height so that the crossing would not be interrupted except for vessels with high masts.

The main span of the bascule bridge is 55.0 m, which is accessed from access spans located between walls. Special care was taken in the meeting of these with the drawbridge and the area for the installation of the machinery. Two interposed curved arches were arranged to visually lighten the wall and allow passage under the bridge.
