Venustiano Carranza road distributor. Viaducts I, II, III and IV. Saltillo. Coahuila. México. 2002.
The Venustiano Carranza distributor at the exit of the city of Saltillo, in the state of Coahuila, requires four curved overpasses with 40-meter spans and variable lengths ranging from 130 to 210 meters.
All of them have been resolved with the same solution; end spans of 25 meters, 2 to 4 central spans of 40 meters, and a width of 9 meters.
The deck is a beam with a variable depth of 1.80 m on supports at 1.00 m in the center of the spans, with a box section in the support zone and a lightened slab with circular cavities in the span centers.
The construction of all of them was done on span-by-span formwork; in each phase, three-quarters of one span and one-quarter of the next were built.
