ICA recognizes Cebu-Cordova bridge for construction excellence

The American Concrete Institute (ACI) has awarded the CCLEX the second prize in its prestigious Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards in the Bridge category. This recognition places the project among the most outstanding concrete infrastructures in the world, thanks to:
– Its advanced structural design, featuring a cable-stayed bridge with a 390-meter main span.
– The technically demanding and highly complex construction process, involving more than 185,000 m³ of concrete.
– The use of sustainable solutions, including highly durable concrete and locally sourced materials.
– Its direct impact on mobility in the Cebu region, connecting the island with Cordova and significantly improving accessibility.

This achievement adds to the project’s growing list of international accolades, including the IABSE 2023 Project and Technology Award in the Innovation in Construction category.
